At Shady Mountain Pet Retreat we believe in treating our Doodle dog guests like part of the family. We love each of them as we're Doodle Dog enthusiasts. How can we not be? Doodle Dogs are sweet, intelligent and have tons of potential. Miriam Fields-Babineau will teach pet parents how to enhance their relationships with their Doodle Dogs, creating a great bond for life.

Board and Train Programs

We offer several programs:

2 weeks for basic on lead obedience
4 weeks for on and dropped lead obedience
6 weeks for reliable off lead responses

On lead obedience consists of heel, sit/stay, down/stay, come and finish
Off lead obedience consists of the same behaviors without need for a lead.
Both also cover distraciton proofing and behavior modification.

Private Lessons

We customize your experience to address specific issues as well as promote a great relationship between you and your Doodle Dog.

4 lesson Puppy Kindergarten
6 lesson Basic obedience

Custom designed programs for therapy dogs, emotional support dogs, assistance dogs, and performance dogs.

Aquatic Conditioning

Our indoor pool allows for year round aquatic fun. From therapy and conditioning to all out fun in the water.
Doodle Dogs love to swim!
You can sign up your dog while she's visiting us, or set up private swim sessions with our experienced K9 swim coaches.

Doodle Dog Boarding (other breeds, too!)

We don't just train Doodle Dogs, we also board them whenever you must go out of town for any reason. Our large comfortable indoor/outdoor suites offer privacy without loneliness. Most Doodle Dogs can experience separation anxiety as they are highly needy of being with people, and/or other dogs. At Shady Mountain Pet Retreat, we are hands on offering massages, bedtime cuddling, hand feeding if needed, and we're always here watching over them. Throughout the day they have the option of socializing with other dogs in 6 large play yards equipped with K9 enrichment equipment. We also have miles of beautiful mountain trails for hiking and exploring. Perfect for those adventurous Doodle Dogs.
